Heath McAlvin Stewart, III graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and is part of the first graduating class of the Charleston School of Law, where he served as part of the inaugural Honor Council. Prior to graduation, Mr. Stewart clerked for Ellis Lawhorne & Sims, P.A. and the Fifth Judicial Circuit Solicitor's Office, both in Columbia. Mr. Stewart joined Riley Pope & Laney, LLC in September 2007 and practices in the areas of defense litigation, real estate and workers' compensation defense. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar and the Richland County Bar Association. Mr. Stewart is admitted to practice before all South Carolina state courts, the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina and the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
